Black and White – Cees fun foto challenge

Dropping the colour from this image of the ruined Tintern Abbey, in Wales, created a sense of drama and added the gravitas that I had felt on my visit.
Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge this week is “black and white.”

Your wonderful photography reminds me of my own visit to Tintern Abbey. It was actually a black and white photograph of Glastonbury Abbey that I loved so much that inspired me to take a trip to England to see as many of the ruined abbeys as I could. Black and white is so perfect for this subject.
