Orange-Travel Theme Photo Challenge

The cliffs faces of the north western most corner of the Australian continent, the Kimberley region are orange. As the sun begins it’s descent into the west, the colours intensify and the walls of the sandstone gorges glow until dark.

I live in sunny Brisbane, Australia. My love of good food drives me as a cook, a reader, a traveller, an artist and but mostly as an eater. I cooked professionally for many years but have no formal training. Simply guided by a love of eating good food, respect for ingredients and an abhorrence of artificial additives, I cook instinctively applying the technical know how acquired by experience. Reminds me of Bryce Canyon in Utah, where the colors keep changing as the sun sets, gorgeous shades of orange. I get Bryce mixed up with Zion, so it may actually be Zion that is the orange. Your colors are wonderful.

Thank you. The Kimberley is a remote and vast wilderness area in the tropical north west. It is the oldest geological formation in the world, glacier shaped mountain ranges, deep gorges and vast arid plains. It really does glow when the sun is low in the sky.
